NEW FORMATIONS WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY

Wednesdays | 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM | Room 108
Join the Women's Ministry Team as we study "Just Open the Door: How One Invitation Can Change a Generation" by Jen Schmidt.

Change a generation with something as simple as an invitation.

For many of us, inviting people into our lives and homes feels more like inviting judgment on our entertaining skills and stress on our already maxed-out schedules. But what if you knew that opening your front door had the power to radically change the world? To make an impact and leave a legacy with everyday invitations?

Just Open the Door is a personal yes-you-can guide to offering the life-changing gift of invitation. Whether you’re a seasoned host looking for renewed inspiration or a nervous newbie not sure where to begin, these personal stories, practical ideas, and poignant insights will give you the confidence you need to see your home as the most likely location for changing the world around you, one open door at a time.

WEEK DAY BIBLE STUDIES

"Abide" by Jen Wilkin
Tuesday, February 7 | 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM | Room 108

Led by April Pratt, in this Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well.

"God of Freedom" by Jen Wilkin
Thursday, Feb 9 | 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM | Room 115
Led by Katie Blackmon, in this Bible study of Exodus 19 - 40, journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another. Revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle. And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God's children today about how to live as those set free.

In every page of the Bible, learn to see Christ through the stories of His people. And discover how the God who created you and made a covenant with you will deliver you from death to life, for His name and renown.

Childcare for ages four months through kindergarten is available through Parents Day Out (PDO). Contact Amanda Jennings, PDO Director, 405-726-9769, pdo.amanda@gmail.com

The church is providing a way for us to reach out to our pastors and leaders and request prayer and needs. We read and pray over each request that we receive. The Bible tells us that “The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer” (Psalm 6:9 ESV). Please allow us the privilege of praying for you.
