NOTES ARCHIVE- NEW: Has God's Blessing Been Lost?
Meet in Room 107
Join us on September 4 for a new Bible study led by Jim Lee, open to all adults. This in-depth study explores the foundation of the United States on biblical principles by Christian leaders and examines how far we've strayed from those roots. Discover the spiritual heritage of our nation and engage in thought-provoking discussions about its relevance today.
- Explore the Bible: Acts
Meet in Room 201
Led by George Gorham, great for Connection Group teachers and open to everyone. The book of Acts is “Part Two” of Luke’s correspondence with Theophilus (Luke 1:3; Acts 1:1-2). The Gospel of Luke relates “all that Jesus began to do and teach” (Acts 1:1), Acts relates the advancement of Christ’s gospel through His church. Acts 1–12 feature Peter as the central character in the early formation and growth of the church. Toward the end of this section, the conversion of Saul of Tarsus paves the way for the second half of Acts.
- Men's Ministry
Meet in Room 109
BEGINNING ON AUGUST 21
We will begin studying "Holiness: It's Nature, Hindrances, Difficulties, and Roots" by J.C. Ryle. We will be guiding men how to cultivate the character of Christ, align their lives with God's will, and battle sin through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Women's Ministry: "As for Me"
Meet in Room 108
BEGINNING ON AUGUST 21
We will begin studying "As for Me: Life Through the Lens of the Psalms" by Adrienne Camp and led by the Women's Ministry Team. Books may be purchased online.
From songs of praise to cries of lament and everything in-between, the book of Psalms captures the wide range of emotions in life. The psalmists paint a picture of a relationship with God that is filled with delays, disappointments, surprises, and triumphs. Through it all, their words model an incredible resolve to keep their eyes on God. Instead of being swallowed up by the darkness of their emotions and circumstances, they persevered in grabbing hold of God's unfailing love and faithfulness.
- Adult Co-Ed: "Tactics"
Meet in Room 110
BEGINNING ON AUGUST 21
"Tactics" by Gregory Koukl and led by Josh Wheatley and Kurt Denning. Books may be purchased online.
In a world increasingly indifferent to Christian truth, followers of Christ need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their language or accept their source of authority. In Tactics, 10th Anniversary Edition, Gregory Koukl demonstrates how to artfully regain control of conversations, keeping them moving forward in constructive ways through thoughtful diplomacy. You'll learn how to stop challengers in their tracks and how to turn the tables on questions or provocative statements. Most important, you'll learn how to get people thinking about Jesus. Tactics provides the game plan for communicating the compelling truth about Christianity with confidence and grace.
