Women's Ministry: Missing Pieces
Room 108
By Jennifer Rothschild and led by the Women's Ministry Team, experience unexpected peace in spite of unexpected heartache. Does God care? Is He fair? Is He even there? Although you may know all the right answers, they don't always feel right. Explore these and other questions in this realistic look at the messy, mysterious uncertainties of faith. God's ways don't always make sense, but He is trustworthy. Come close to Him. Trust Him more than your feelings. God will reveal Himself and fill in your missing pieces.

Men's Ministry: "Knowing God"
Room 106D
Led by Mike Morris, we will be studying Knowing God by J. I. Packer. Knowing God brings together two important facets of the Christian faith - knowing about God and also knowing God through the context of a close relationship with the pers. This thought-provoking work seeks to transform and enrich the Christian understanding of God. Explaining both who God is and how we can relate to him, Packer divides his book into three sections: The first directs our attention to how and why we know God, the second to the attributes of God and the third to the benefits enjoyed by a those who know him intimately.

Explore the Bible: 1, 2 Thessalonians
Room 201
Led by Jerry Miller, great for Connection Group teachers and open to everyone. In First and Second Thessalonians, we are introduced to a trio of missionaries - Paul and his coworkers, Timothy and Silas. Their concern for the church is evident in their encouragement of the believers in Thessalonica. In First Thessalonians we learn that the church was experiencing persecution. Second Thessalonians centers primarily on the day of the Lord and the events surrounding Christ’s return.

Wednesdays | 6 PM - 7PM | Room 106 A
Led by Reece Pickard, Edmond’s First College and Young Adults Pastor, join us for a new eight-week parenting class. We will be going through John MacArthur’s “Successful Christian Parenting” book where we will read a chapter of the book each week and discuss it during the hour we meet. Please purchase the book before the class. You can purchase it on Amazon or Christianbook.com.

There will be a time for discussion and any questions that may need to be answered. We are looking forward to what we can learn as we invest our time into this. So don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity.

This class is open to everyone: couples, singles, aunts, uncles, anyone who may be expecting or thinking about having children. Raising children is not always easy, and they don’t come with a “how-to” guide.

There are people right now in our congregation who would love to share the things they have learned through experience. But experience is the best teacher, and sometimes, we can learn from others to better equip ourselves. Perhaps that’s why the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” holds water.

So let us get together Wednesday nights beginning on Wednesday, May 4, at 6:00 PM and learn what it means to fulfill the will of God in the household.

“Success in parenting is measured by what the parents do, not what the child does.”
