Preschool Ministry

Birth thru 4 years

The Preschool Ministry of Edmond’s First Baptist Church is a Bible teaching, purpose driven, Christ-centered ministry with a passion for missions, evangelism and lifelong discipleship.  Foundations of faith are modeled as loving teachers rock babies, sing songs, and interact with preschoolers.

Preschoolers are beginning to recognize the Bible as more than a book.  They are learning to respond to others with love and respect as teachers model appropriate behavior and loving attitudes for them.  Preschoolers are beginning to talk to God and know that He is listening.  Remembering scriptures and Bible thoughts is beginning to take place.  As boys and girls hear about God, explore the world around them, and have first hand experiences with loving, caring adults who introduce Jesus continually, life-long foundations of faith are laid.

Worship Care

Young boys and girls participate in activities to reinforce the Bible teaching that take place in the early or late Sunday School (Bible study) time.  Worship Care is where parents appreciate leaving their child in a loving atmosphere while they are in the “Big Church” Sunday Morning Worship Service from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.  Preschoolers are involved in happy Bible learning experiences that will enhance the Bible lesson for the day.

Worship Care is staffed by caring adult volunteers.  You can be a part of our Worship Care ministry team.  Parents, grandparents, singles, and young married couples volunteer to serve on a rotation basis approximately every other month.

Where do my kids go?

Boys and girls, infants through kindergarten receive I.D.’s at the Preschool Reception Desk for each event and are directed to a developmentally and age appropriate department located on the first floor near the reception area in the Children's Wing.
