In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”

REESE PICKARD, COLLEGE, CAREER, YOUNG ADULT PASTOR

Reese is a compassionate, loyal, diligent, friendly, and giving individual. Reese's main focus in the ministries of Edmond’s First is to serve the College, Career, and Young Adults. His goals are centered around witnessing people experience an abundance of joy and living for the glory of God throughout their lives.

Reese has a deep appreciation for insightful books. Among his favorites are "Designed to Be Like Him" by Dwight Pentecost, which beautifully depicts the condition of man, God's posture, and the redemptive power of the gospel. Additionally, "Humility" by Andrew Murray resonates with Reese, teaching the importance of Christ-like humility as the foundation for holiness and righteousness.

His wife, Magen, serves as his greatest supporter and companion. Together, they homeschool their four daughters, Indie, Ryan, Marley, and Eden, nurturing them with a biblical worldview. Cooking delicious meals, sharing laughter, and practicing gratitude for their blessings are cherished aspects of their family dynamics. With each member possessing unique traits, their shared love for the Lord unifies and brings joy to Reese's life.

The best part of Reese's life right now is serving on staff at Edmond’s First, where he finds fulfillment in ministering to others. Recently, he has learned that the gospel is the means by which God brings about redemption through human agents.

When it comes to favorites, spending time with his children and witnessing their moments of discovery fills Reese with joy. As a child, he dreamt of becoming a mailman.

In terms of education, Reese graduated from Springhill, Louisiana, and pursued studies at Luther Rice University, majoring in Biblical Studies with a minor in ministry. Seminary has provided him with a systematic approach to Scripture, deepening his understanding of biblical principles and enhancing his ability to minister to others.

Reese's call to ministry began in 2017 when his desire to serve intensified. The challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic reinforced his conviction to pursue ministry wholeheartedly. His commitment to sharing the gospel led him to engage with individuals in various settings.

His goals and dreams revolve around sharing the message of the Gospel and proclaiming God's Word. Reese believes that God is constantly preparing him for future work in His kingdom through daily experiences, learning, and the relationships He has orchestrated.

Gratitude fills Reese's heart as he acknowledges the privilege of serving alongside like-minded individuals and being a part of a wonderful church that genuinely represents Christ.

A sentence that has the potential to change someone's life for the better, according to Reese, is: "God's love for people is clearly seen by sending His Son, in the face of His Son, and reflected in the people who believe in His Son.

"Several Bible verses hold deep meaning for Reese, such as Ephesians 1:13-14, Philippians 1:6, John 17:17, and John 8:31-32. These verses speak of the sealing of believers with the Holy Spirit, God's assurance of completing the good work He has begun, the sanctifying power of His Word, and the freedom found in abiding in the truth.

In summary, Reese embodies compassion, loyalty, diligence, friendliness, and generosity. With a focus on serving the College, Career, and Young Adults, he strives to spread joy and encourage a life lived for the glory of God. His dedication to ministry, love for his family, and unwavering commitment to the gospel make Reese an inspiring individual.
