Paul Blankenship serves as Executive Pastor for EFBC. Under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, he manages the staff and directs the day-to-day operations. He is responsible for personnel management and supervision, finances, events and programing, policy, procedures and facility maintenance.
Paul walked the aisle of Red Fork Baptist Church in Tulsa and was baptized at the age of five. Several years later, after three accidents in an 18 month period that could all have easily been fatal, Paul came to the realization that he had only gone through the motions as a child and did not have a personal relationship with the Lord. This revelation led to repentance and Paul gave his life to Christ on August 4, 1988 at Falls Creek Youth Camp. Three years later, at the age of 15, he accepted a call to the ministry.
Paul has served over 20 years in the Oklahoma Air National Guard in various capacities and has been a Federal Employee with the Department of Defense and the Department of Transportation for over 16 years. He also served bi-vocationally as a worship leader for 13 years.
Paul is married to his best friend Amy and they have three children. Paul enjoys spending time with his family, running, CrossFit training, reading, watching movies and OU football.
Paul graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1998 with Bachelor’s Degree in Church Music. Later, in 2011, he graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Paul’s life verse is “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
