What is “Coats for Oak Ridge”?
Coats for Oak Ridge is project sponsored by our Oak Ridge Ministry to help provide a specific need to families at Oak Ridge Estates this fall. As we know kids grow out of clothes fast and last years coat will likely not fit this year’s kids. Through passing along our gently used coats of all sizes we can help share the Love of Christ and a little warmth this winter.
What Coats for Oak Ridge is Not?
This project is to help provide coats for people of all ages, please stick to the identity of a coat. We are not seeking clothing (pants, sweatshirts, sweaters, or shirts). We will accept hats, gloves, and scarves.
Coat Sizes Needed?
Our desire is to help all ages with a gently used warm coat. Almost all sizes are needed for this project.
How Can I be Involved?
First and always, pray for what we do as a ministry in our community. Next clean out your closets, do you have gently used coats of all sizes (children’s to adult sizes). Instead of just throwing out that gently used coat that does not fit any longer donate it to Coats for Oak Ridge. The only request we have is that you wash your coats prior to donating them.
How Can My Connection Group Be Involved?
Sign up through the Mission’s Office for a coat collection box. This box will stay in your room Sunday, September 30 through Sunday, October 28.
