Senior Adults

HappyTimers’ Dinner and Entertainment

Thursday, September 28 | 6:30 - 8:00 PM | Foyer
For Senior Adults, bring your favorite food and enjoy great fellowship and entertainment with Dr. Edward Spann, retired Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Dallas Baptist University, as he presents “Presidential Praise: Our Presidents and Their Hymns”.  This is a unique multimedia presentation which contains inspiring and entertaining information on our nation’s presidents beginning with George Washington through George W. Bush. Each president has his strengths and weaknesses but this program deals with an aspect which is quite unique; the influence of hymns on their lives. For more information or questions, contact Jerry Miller, 405-473-6946.

Senior Adult Groups

We are so much more than a senior adult ministry. Many of us are retired, but just as many are still employed. Within our groups there are quite a few grandparents, but we're not all there yet. We've reached that age when we realize that age is just a number and no one number can define who we are or who we will one day be. There are still so many challenges yet to face, and so many milestones we plan to achieve. You are encouraged to visit several Senior Adult Groups before selecting the one that is the most comfortable fit for you.

Happytimers Ministry

Happytimers is a group of maturing adults who are very much in love with Jesus and who live to serve others throughout our community and love to spend time together taking day trips, eating out, and serving others. They are happy people who love to spend time together. Happytimers are energized and revitalized!  Our fellowship has grown numerically as well as spiritually through the years. We have shared many programs, trips, and experiences that have bound our hearts together.

As we continue to minister together, we are encouraged that Christ is the reason for our fellowship. What a wonderful gift He has given to each one of us that we can call ourselves friends.

Each year we enjoy activities, such as:

  • Monthly Dinner and Entertainment at EFBC
  • Baptist Mission Center Project
  • Chickasha Festival of Lights
  • Branson, Missouri
  • Movie and Popcorn Day
  • Museum Tours
