re|engage FAQ

What is it?
Would you rate your marriage as a 2 or a 10? Maybe even a 0? You are not alone. Whether your marriage needs to be reignited, or is in need of a complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect. Re|engage offers hope to marriages by helping couples move toward oneness through stories of grace, teaching and small groups. Join us for this 16-session experience which includes a time of music, prayer, a large group teaching time or a couple testimony by a couple who has experienced victory through God’s grace, and small group time which follows a specified curriculum.

Children's programming is available for birth through 6th grade. Please register online. The deadline to request childcare is by midnight, Sunday, August 13.

How Much Does It Cost?
Cost is $50 to cover materials. We never want the cost to be a prohibiting factor to you investing in your marriage so if you cannot afford the registration fee right now, please let us know.

What Happens When I Get There?
At 5:00 PM on Sundays, we will meet as a large group to worship, listen to a couple’s testimony, or participate in a large group teaching time. After closed small group assignments have been made, couples will with their closed small group to discuss that week’s lesson. Closed groups consist of 4 to 5 couples who are in the same life stage, and will be joined with a small group facilitator couple. Newcomers are welcome to attend worship and the large group gathering any time. If your spouse is unable or unwilling to attend, you can continue as an open group participant. However, both the husband and wife need to attend in order to be eligible for placement in a closed group.

  • Once you get in a closed group, you will begin working through the curriculum which is rooted in Scripture, incorporating the 16 biblically based sessions.
  • Your groups are formed, typically, with people in your same life stage as well as those who arrived to re|engage around the same time you did.
  • You will have a facilitator couple, who has most likely been through the re|engage ministry and will walk with your group as you go through the re|engage journey.

Will I be asked personal questions at re|engage?
There is no personal sharing required during large group teaching time. Though we encourage you to stay active in group discussion, any personal sharing during small group time is voluntary.

How do I know what I share in my re|engage small group will be confidential?
We believe that scripture call us to refrain from gossip and we ask participants and facilitators to adhere to the guidelines of whatever is discussed in the group, stays in the group. Re|engage facilitators are encouraged to operate under the direction of God’s word in handling confidential information that may be discussed in their small group. In order to provide a safe environment, Re|engage have committed not to share information about others outside the group unless there is evidence of potential physical, emotional, or spiritual injury. At that point, the lead pastor, or the pastor to Young Married Adults will be notified.

Can I be honest with what is going on in my marriage?
Our prayer is that you will feel safe to share within your small group. The more couple can be authentic and transparent, the more likely they are to find hope and healing in their marriage.

Is re|engage marriage counseling?
Re|engage is not marriage counseling. Re|engage leaders are facilitators, not counselors. Everyone in the group is on the journey to oneness in their marriage. We believe that openness and honesty in a small group setting, using Biblically-based curriculum, is where God works to grow and resurrect marriages.

How much time outside the meeting is required?
Completion of the curriculum will take 15-20 minutes each week. There are a total of 16 sessions.

I have little hope for my marriage. Can I find hope at re|engage?
Yes. Our prayer is that you find hope through allowing God to do a might work in your marriage. Many couples who have been separated or divorced have attended re|engage. While the outcome is based on how much effort the individual is will to put forth to save their marriage, the platform provides a safe place to focus on what a healthy marriage should look like, and it provides some tools to help the marriage grow towards this goal.

My marriage is doing well, can we benefit from attending re|engage?
Yes – whether your marriage needs to me reignited, or is need of complete resurrection, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect.

We are in our first year of marriage, should we still attend?
Absolutely! In fact, participating in re|engage at this stage of your marriage is a great idea! The program will provide a strong foundation for your marriage.
