A WORD WITH YOU

Heartland 2010 is finally here. After months of praying, organizing, and preparing, it’s time for a REFILL.  I am grateful and expectant.

Young Adults—we have prepared for your children.  Pat Murphy and Charles Scheffe will supervise, entertain, and teach your children each night of Heartland.  Our program will conclude by 8:00 p.m.  Don’t miss a single service.

Students—you will be exposed to creativity and spiritual challenges that can revolutionize your lives.  Don’t miss a single service.

Fifty Plus and Seniors—you will experience a blend of old-fashioned Bible preaching and cutting-edge teaching and technology. Don’t miss a single service.

Musicians—you can participate in the choir on Sunday and Wednesday; you can enjoy the African American Choir on Monday and the 605 band on Tuesday. Don’t miss a single service.

Children—your friends will be here and will have a great time.  You’ll be on your way home by 8:00 p.m. each night. Don’t miss a single night.

I have learned that I usually do what I PLAN to do.  If you have not PLANNED to be here every service, you will not be here.  That’s a loss for yourself and for the church.  Every time we are absent we vote against revival—if that absence is preventable.

I’m preaching because I’m passionate. I want to see God remake our families, our town, and our church. I’m expecting many of us to once again be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Determine right now to be one of those who can say on Thursday that you did not miss a single service—unless you were “Providentially hindered.”  (In my dictionary, “Providential hindrance” is defined as a broken leg or the rapture!)  :)

       Tell someone!
