Friendship International

"Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed.  For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."  Habakkuk 1:5

A program for international women and their children!

The purpose of Friendship International is to meet the needs of international families in an experience of Christian love. This is a great opportunity for women to reach out and minister to women from around the world with Christ's love.  We have women from 20 - 25 different countries, many of whom have never heard the gospel of Christ.  We meet on Thursday mornings during the Edmond school year from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Although the meetings are held at Highland Park Baptist Church during the school year, observing Edmond school calendar for days off, the majority of the volunteer teachers and workers are from Edmond's First Baptist Church.  Our church does support the ministry financially.

  • Childcare?    free childcare is available for children whose mothers attend Friendship International classes for infants through 5 years.

  • Costs?    there is NO CHARGE for taking a class, but students do need to pay for their English books or materials for sewing, quilting, etc.

  • Location?    Highland Park Baptist Church is located at 400 N Blackwelder in Edmond at the corner of Ayres and Blackwelder.  The parking lot and entrance are located on the north side of the building.  See the interactive map below.

  • 2011 - 2012 dates?    see below
