Evan Dare has been on staff at Edmond's First Baptist Church (EFBC) since November of 2014. He previously served at EFBC from 1997-2004 as the Student Ministry Pastor. Evan is also the Director of Super Summer Oklahoma, which is a leadership and discipleship camp for students held on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University the first three weeks of June.
Evan began his vocational ministry calling and career in 1990 as a Youth Minister in Troy, Texas. He has extensive experience in ministering to young adults and families. Evan also spent two years as a full time hospice chaplain. Evan has a passion for connecting people to Christ and helping them discover their calling.
Evan enjoys reading books on leadership development and inspirational non-fiction. His favorite authors include Andy Stanley, Randy Alcorn, Tim Keller, Jerry Bridges, and C.S. Lewis.
Evan graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1988. He attained a Master’s Degree in Education from Baylor University, and also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Evan and his wife Linda were married in 1987. Linda has been ministering to others as a Physical Therapist since 1990. Evan and Linda have three children: Cayden, Landon, and Lexie. He enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and watching the OU Sooners play football.
