Parents:  Watch for the Parent/Camper meeting date and time.  This is a mandatory meeting for all parents and campers.  Parents meet in Room C204 and campers meet in Room 211-212.  We will discuss all things pertinent to camp, including what to pack, when we leave and arrive home, whether or not to send extra money and so much more.  Final payment is due at this time.

Children's Mission Adventure Camp is for kids in the summer who have completed third grade through completed sixth grade who love to have fun!  Children's Camp will experience Bible study, Kid’s Worship, quiet time, church group devotions, meeting missionaries and learning about missions, fellowship and play with other kids, nature, important character traits, and new songs.

Nestled on 560 acres in the San Bois Mountains and overlooking Lake McAlester, CrossTimbers provides a safe and child-friendly setting for a variety of recreational activities as well as opportunities for spiritual growth.  They will learn of God's plan for their lives and gain a heart for the world around them through adventurous outdoor activities, interactive worship, bible studies, and hands-on mission education.

Tribal Chaos

Created with the child in mind, each activity will be an event! At registration each camper will discover which tribe they belong to and will participate with their tribe in special Tribal times and compete in the infamous Tribal Chaos!  Church groups will stay together for carefully-selected, age-appropriate, well-supervised games and fun!  Experienced CrossTimbers camp staffers know that children require and deserve a variety of activities where they can succeed.  We want them to develop a sense of accomplishment and healthy self-esteem.

Swim Test Procedures

  • A swim test will be administered to all campers each Monday under the direction of the pool supervisor.
  • Lifeguards will assume responsibility for all pool safety rules being enforced during this time.
  • At least three lifeguards and one other staffer will be at the pool to administer the swim test.
  • Campers will be tested in groups of four and the swimming will begin at the deep end, two on each side.
  • All campers are required to take the test or they declare themselves as a non-swimmer*. The pool supervisor will make the final decision on any camper's swim class.  Wrist bands will be given out according to skill level.
  • Non-swimmers are any campers unwilling to take the test or unable to swim at least one length of the pool.
