Three Exciting Performances
There’s just something to be said about celebrating Christmas with your family and friends. God gave us the ultimate gift when he sent His one and only Son to be the Savior of the world. And the celebration, filled with music, lights, the smell of cookies baking, shopping for that perfect gift for that special someone is something that we anticipate all year long. And we have a huge celebration planned to assist you in getting into the holiday spirit.
Come hear the sounds of over 100 voices and a 35 piece orchestra as we present the LIVING CHRISTMAS TREE, complete with a 30 foot tree and full Christmas set. Join us in the Worship Center for three performances, doors open one hour prior to each performance, there is no charge and the event is open to the community:
- 2:00 PM, SATURDAY, December 12
- 7:00 PM, SATURDAY, December 12
- 7:00 PM, SUNDAY, December 13
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Our Candlelight Service held every Christmas Eve has become a holiday tradition for many Edmond families. Join us in the Worship Center as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
- 6:00 PM, THURSDAY, December 24
Additional Christmas Opportunities
Operation Christmas Child
In November, the Children's Ministry will be hosting a family service event called Operation Christmas Child. This service project will allow our children to fill a shoebox with items purchased by them through EFBC donations. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, led by Franklin Graham. This ministry reaches out across the world to deliver presents to Children around the globe who would not otherwise receive a gift this year. Visit Operation Christmas for more information.
Project Christmas Hope
Even though Christmas is a time of joy and laughter for most of us, it is a time of hopelessness and disappointment to many families who are experiencing hard times. Through Project Christmas Hope, Edmond’s First Baptist Church “adopts” families from The H.O.P.E. Center of Edmond, and any family in our church that we know needs a little extra help. Project Christmas Hope allows the entire church to anonymously share in their personal blessings by assisting in providing new clothes, toys, food and other items to these “adopted” families. Selections are easy to purchase since they are labeled by the desired item’s name (toy truck) and by the age and gender of the child. No names are used for either the recipients or the donors of the items. Each family’s “wish list” is displayed in the Worship Center Foyer during the Christmas season.
Poinsettias for Worship Center
Christmas poinsettias are available each year for purchase in honor of or in memory of a loved one. These poinsettias decorate the Worship Center during the Christmas season and are taken home after the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
Connection Group Christmas Parties
Connection Groups are part of Edmond's First Baptist Church
(EFBC) Sunday morning small group Bible study. These small groups
start out as Sunday school on Sunday mornings . . . but are much more .
. . they are Connection Groups. Many of these Connection Groups will celebrate the Christmas Season with their Connection Group Christmas Parties!
