Interested in Going to Brazil?

Wednesday, March 10, is our goal for having enlisted the team for the Brazil Mission Trip June 25 - July 4, 2010.  Basic requirements are a personal relationship with Christ and faithful attendance and participation in ministry as a member of Edmond's First Baptist Church.

The individual cost, minus $500 EFBC scholarship, is $2,116, including round trip air fare, Brazilian visa, lodging, meals and required insurance.

Vitoria da Conquista, Bahia, Brazil, is a city of about 300,000 people in the mountainous southwestern part of the Brazilian state of Bahai.  This is your opportunity to partner with Brazilian Christians to share the good news about Jesus while meeting the human needs of people.  In one week, we hope to put new shoes and socks on 300 children and present reading glasses to many more people.  All of these people will see and hear a gospel presentation from our own youth drama team.  You can anticipate seeing multitudes drawn to Christ.

Basic requirements for participation:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior
  • Faithful attendance and participation in ministry as a member of Edmond’s First Baptist Church
  • Possessing a United States of America passport valid through January 2011.
  • Age 16 or older with parental consent and EFBC staff approval for anyone 16 or 17 years of age.
  • $250 deposit and final payment by April 26, 2010.  (Edmond's First Baptist Church Missions Committee has approved a $500 scholarship for each team member, reducing the individual cost to $2,116.)
